Jewish weddings always include breaking a glass at the end of the ceremony. Traditionally, the man alone broke the glass though today, some couples break two glasses. The glass-breaking is typically followed by a communal "Mazel tov!", which is the equivalent of "Congratulations!"

It reminds us that love, like glass, is fragile and must be protected. The glass is broken to protect the marriage with an implied prayer: "May your marriage last as long as it would take to repair this glass." The shattering of the glass concludes the ceremony on a high note.

THIS PURPLE ENAMELED STAR WEDDING GLASS MEZUZAH IS OFFERED WITH A KOSHER SCROLL. THE MEZUZAH IS METAL BASED IN BRASS OXIDE AND ENAMELED IN PURPLE. BELOW THE SHIN IS THE WEDDING BAND "ANI L'DODI V'DODI LI" (I AM MY BELOVED'S AND MY BELOVED IS MINE) THAT SPINS AROUND. THE CAPS OF THE MEZUZAH ARE MADE TO REPRESENT THE STYLE OF THE OLD EUROPEAN SYNAGOGUES WITH A FILAGREE LIKE DESIGN AND SMALL MAGEN DAVIDS ON THE SIDES. LITE BLUE SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS ENHANCE THE DESIGN ON THE MEZUZAH CAPS.

DO -IT-YOURSELF IN A FEW MINUTES. YOUR MEZUZAH WILL ARRIVE WITH THE KOSHER SCROLL ALREADY IN PLACE. AFTER YOU BREAK THE GLASS, REMOVE THE BOTTOM CAP OF THE MEZUZAH, PLACE SOME OF THE SMALLER SHARDS OF GLASS INSIDE THE TUBE, AND REPLACE THE BOTTOM OF THE MEZUZAH ON THE TUBE.
